We set out in our bus from Zurich and head toward Geneva where we spend the first night on beautiful Lake Annecy. As we wind our way through the majestic valleys of the French Alps and cross the famous passes of the Tour de France including the Cormet d Roseland, Col d Glandon, Madelaine, Galibier, Telepraphe, Alp d Huez, Petit St Bernard, Grand St Bernard not to mention the spectacular Swiss passes of the Simplon and Lukmanier, Oberalp, Furkha and Grimsel.

After transferring from Zurich to our first night’s accommodation in Bassersdorf we leave the next day for the rich Swiss dairy country near the bottom of Switzerland’s northern-most range of mountains, The Alpsteins and make our way across the Rhine River toward Bregenz on the eastern-most end of Lake Constance.

With our extensive knowledge of walking and trekking in the European alps, we offer this 6 night/7 day walking tour in the Alpsteins of Switzerland and the Vorarlbergs of Austria. We take advantage of the mountain chalets high in the alps of these regions to treat our customers to breathtaking scenery, clear mountain air and the unique world of snow and ice above the treeline. The walking is easy and the high ridges are reached by cable cars, gondolas or cog railways. The atmosphere in the alps and life amongst the mountain folk is incredibly unique.
